Life Aboard Ship

First off, let me just say life aboard the Finnmarken was sweet.  It seemed to me like it could go either way.  There is lots to do, but it is kind of an enclosed space for two young and energetic men.  Fortunately, there is an outdoor pool and hot tub.

There is always a great view.

And if you are not feeling like appreciating the view, there are lots of things to climb on.

The bad news was that the captain was a little under the weather.  Fortunately, Mason and Lyell were willing to do their turns (if you will excuse the pun) on watch.  Hold on tight!

It was great sitting out on the deck watching another beautiful fjord, or another beautiful glacier go by.

...or just having a moment with your brother.

Even when things got exciting (like entering the narrows), there was still lots of room.  It was good to wind through these tiny passages during a calm day, but I can imagine its pretty exciting when there is a storm, or when its dark (in the winter).

This is the view of our cabin, from the outside!  Whenever we docked, I would run out to the dock and wipe the glass on the portholes - there was so much to see!

Goodby Finnmarken - until the next time!
