Denmark, First Pass

Over the German border, and we were into Denmark!  Not more than an hour in, we encountered a large airplane parked by the side of the highway in the middle of nowhere.  Thinking it would be a good attraction for the boys, we stopped.  On the outside of the plane it bore the logo of "Candy Air".  Once inside, we saw why.

The fuselage was lined, floor to ceiling, with boxes and boxes of bulk candy.  And kids.  Going absolutely nuts.  TT gave the boys a modest quota, and they too pillaged the inside of "Candy Air".  Mason came away with a bag of goodies, and Lyell came away with a cell phone filled with M&Ms.  Wow.

As if that were not enough Americana, we boarded our first ferry and opened a bag of Cheetohs (Lyell is holding the bag).  As you can see - there was so much going on aboard the ferry that neither boy could look at me and the camera.

And finally, a point of real cultural interest!  Mons Klint.  Famous for its chalky white cliffs, it is quite an unusual sight.  Of course the highlight for Lyell and Mason was getting to play in the water.  Could we have done this on the edge of Lac Leman at the bottom of our hill?!

But it is quite worthwhile, and we were amazed at how many Danes had not been there (and its not like Denmark is a really big country)!
